About The Series:

The International Michelin Chef Showcase is a biennial event that brings top chefs to local restaurants so diners here get to experience some of the world’s best cuisines without having to travel. It is organised as part of the partnership between Robert Parker Wine Advocate and Michelin, and marries the most coveted wines with sumptuous food.

About Chef Jungsik Yim:
Known as a pioneer of modern Korean fine dining, Chef Jungsik Yim is the head chef and owner of Jungsik Seoul and New York. Chef Yim's first restaurant in Seoul, Jungsik, broke gastronomic boundaries by being the first to introduce modern interpretations to the traditional Korean cuisine and has been a regular feature on Asia's 50 Best list. The chef obtained his one Michelin star in Seoul and since gone on to secure two Michelin stars for his cool Jungsik New York restaurant. 

Chef Yim trained at Aquavit and Bouley in New York and at Zuberoa and Akelarre in Spain, before returning to Seoul in 2009 to open his eponymous restaurant in Cheongdam-don, which relocated to its current location in 2014.

About Chef Malcolm Lee:
Chef Malcolm Lee is the head chef and owner of Candlenut, the world's first Peranakan restaurant to be awarded the coveted star. As the first Singaporean recipient of the Miele Guide Scholarship, he was granted a place at the At-Sunrice Globalchef Academy, where he was able to explore his Asian culinary roots.
 
A Peranakan, Chef Lee seeks to serve his heritage through a menu of refined tastes and techniques, hence creating Candlenut’s authentic yet innovative Peranakan flavours.
